Thanks for providing such important details in this post. This reads as if you were a reporter recounting an event for somebody who could not be present. Your discussion about "home" covers the multiplicity within his concept of home--how ambience and fire (scenes) really led him into food. Do you think his island home and his approach to cooking rustic food are examples of his longing for a home to which he cannot return?

"He talks about a transformation. The idea of transforming and recreating yourself to become better at what you love" he does indeed. How do you feel about that? So people don't believe a person can be recreated let alone recreate themselves. Do you think it's something that can be done?
